Adguri: is a small town in Arghakhanchi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4,174 and had 804 houses in the village.

Argha: is a town in Arghakhanchi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 8,248 and had 1712 houses in the village.

Arghakhanchi District Introduction


Arghakhanchi District, a part of Lumbini Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Sandhikharka as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,193 km² and has a population (2001) of 208,391. It was initially two separate kingdoms Argha and Khanchi until Prithivi Narayan Shah annexed the two principalities in 1786CE (1843 BS) under his unification campaign of Chaubisi Rajya.
